Overview

Objectives

The goal of the project is to forecast possible activation of landslide areas threatening transport constructions and water works using different monitoring methods. Based on the analysis of archival data and the results of measurements acquired during the project, a methodology for determining of critical values of parameters for reactivation of landslides is worked out. The critical values are part of a warning system saving human lives and property. These parameters are directly measurable deformations of the landslide surface and deep underground of landslides, deformation of remediation elements and also factors that contribute to the reactivation of landslides as rainfall, groundwater pressure effects and the like. The limits of permissible behavior of the ground are required for observational method in accordance with STN EN 1997-1. The outputs of the project will be used by designers and contractors and will allow not only secure design of constructions, but also their operation with a minimal risk.
