Overview
Currently in Hungary the national, regional and suburban bus passenger transport is provided on the basis of orders and service contracts with the State as a public service.
Current contracts expire on 31 December 2016. Than the services to be provided from January 2017 must be provided under new contracts resulting from competition.
The project objective is to support effectively the Ministry of National Development professional activities in the national, regional and suburban bus passenger services tendering, its preparation and execution through involvement in each phase and methodological support.
The State will create a new nation-wide bus transport network by realization of the tendering process for new public service contracts, under which the effective organization of service flexibility reacting to the mobility needs and fiscal boundary conditions will be ensured.
