The project focuses on a common problem that was identified on both sides of the border: even the distance between the 3 communities is rather short, the lack of a proper road infrastructure to link them results into a long trip which limits the accessibility. For this reason the cooperation between people, businesses, schools and local authorities in the micro-region is not sufficiently developed.

The project intends to take the first step by developing the necessary documentation (Feasibility Studies and Technical Projects) before starting the infrastructure works. The need for a better and shorter transportation infrastructure was identified on both sides of the border and the target groups/beneficiaries (population, entrepreneurs, service providers, teachers and students, SMEs, local authorities) can be detected on both sides of the border.

The planned road will link Fancica village of Abramut Commune, from Bihor County, to Kokad Commune in Hajdú-Bihar County. The total length of the planned road is 27, 67 km and will go through the following villages: Fancica-Cubulcut-Sannicolau Mare-Cadea-Ciocaia-Letavertes-Kokad.
