The aim of the project is to develop the AdapTrain. The AdapTrain is an adaptive train trip optimizer which generates energetically optimized speed profile taking into account all technical and legislative restrictions as well as the events occurred during train operation and ensuring minimum deviations from the timetable. The system is capable to adapt the parameters of its models – track geometry, track resistance and train dynamics models. The system consists of an on-board part, capable of autonomous operation, and of an optional ground part.
