Overview

Background & Policy context

The association E-covoiturage developed the website www.e-covoiturage.ch, which is registered as an information hub which server for registered car user offering paid journeys, the so-called carpooling.

The association has created various measures to improve its services and to reach a wider audience.

Objectives

Main objective of the project is to:

  • improve ease of use of the website,
  • develop new target groups through the addition Romandie,
  • increase membership and the placement activities,
  • expand sponsorship and promotional activities.
Methodology

The service will be expanded with the following measures - an Italian and Spanish-language will be implemented to help to make the service international. In addition to place an automatic e-mail-based alarm system (people who offer routes will receive an automatic email confirmation when someone has registered as the passenger on the offered route) and a counter will be installed, which will assess the environmental and economic impact of saved trips.
