The EDSS project developed an Emergency Decision Support System (software package) for the management of emergency situations caused by a breach and consequent ship flooding with impaired stability.

In particular, the tool provides support to the damage control officer for the continuous and real-time monitoring of the ship stability, allowing the recognition and identification of the damage and its temporal progression, thus facilitating the implementation of countermeasures to be adopted, allowing a forecast of its evolution and an evaluation of its consequences.
