Overview
Background & policy context:
In order to implement ERTMS on major parts of Corridor A by 2012, it was necessary to anticipate the introduction of a few specific functionalities (Limited Supervision, Braking Curves...) In order to get that, it was planned to test and verify the above mentioned functionalities on different sections of European corridors.
Objectives:
The proposed project does not deal with test development. It integrates the test campaign by:
- setting a precise migration roadmap inter corridors on infrastructure and rolling stock
- sharing an inter-corridor technical platform in conjunction with ERTMS Users Group
- making technical and operational interoperability inter-corridors uniform
- checking test cases and cross-informing corridors bodies on test procedures
- elaborating the business case review IMs and RUs on European Corridors
- ETCS capacity aspects on corridors nodes
- maintain knowledge at UIC and dissemination of information
