The main focus is on all activities to promote human potential in the BMVIT (thus combining programmes such as brainpower austria, FEMtech and generation innovation) in order to increase the utilization of human potential in the application-oriented, scientific and technical RTI field. The focus is on the entire career development of researchers in the widest sense, i.e. (potential) researchers in childhood are promoted as well as established researchers. The aim of the objective evaluation is the analysis and reflection of the previous development of the main focus (the period of consideration is the years 2011 to 2013), the concept, the implementation and the effects, which can be ascertained so far, are investigated. On the basis of the results, conclusions and recommendations are elaborated for the further development of the funding focus. The evaluation combines quantitative and qualitative methods: document analysis, interviews with stakeholders, analysis of FFG monitoring data, online survey of teachers involved in talents of regional projects, case studies and interviews with project managers.
