Background & policy context:
By resolution of the 10th June 1976, the German Parliament instructed the Federal Government to report at regular intervals on the development of cost recovery in local public transport and the financial services provided by the public sector for local public transport. The most recent 7th report on the development of cost recovery is based on data from 2012 and a reporting period from 2005 to 2012.
Objectives:
The aim of the project is to determine, prepare and analyse the development of cost recovery in local public transport and the development of public funding and its contribution to cost recovery for the period from 2012 onwards and present it in an expert opinion.
