Overview
Identification of problems, their importance and the possible field of actions concerning the freight transportation in the urban zone, evaluate and propose certain measures contributing to better conditions for freight transportation and contributing to the reduction of disturbances related to it, work out recommendations concerning integration of freight transportation in urban transportation planning.
Methodology is based on bibliographical research, surveys.
Analysis of a pilot study case in order to establish a pragmatic diagnostic, definition of objectives and conditions, proposition of possible solutions.
Analysis of existing studies and experiences, critical analysis of the obtained results;
Synthesis and propositions.

Results
The results of this work can be applied at several levels:
- Further implementation of the analytical method developed at other sites in Switzerland and abroad;
- Definition of detailed studies to be undertaken for the implementation of certain measures used in urban areas studied: deliveries improvement measures, organization of distribution patterns, etc.;
- Definition possibly further investigations necessary to deepen some specific aspects;
Policy implications
Synthesis and recommendations to propose concrete measures and improve the general problem of goods transport, propose a methodology to take into account when planning trips.
