The impact monitoring of RTDI funding for Austrian companies, managed by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), assesses direct economic impacts of the funded projects on, for example, input variables like own investments, but also research and innovation behaviour, and output variables like effects on employment and turnover of the funded businesses. A separate survey covers also research organisations from 2014 onwards. Complementary case studies complete the impact analysis, focusing on funding effects in large-scale enterprises.
