The conclusion in the article is as follows:
The process of rail market liberalization has not yet been fully realized in all EU Member States. In particular, liberalization has contributed to fair competition and has led to a customer approach and a more efficient acquisition of railway undertakings. Transport services started to be provided based on demand and market requirements. Better and cheaper rail services have become more competitive with other modes of transport. The liberalization process needs to be further expanded and appropriate conditions for the provision of quality rail transport services.
