Overview
The main objective of the research is to reflect upon the concept of infrastructure as a structure for the movement and as an architectural element of the environment investigating its role in building the environment in relation to different urbanized contexts (densely and low populated contexts).
The research aims to achieve results that could be of interest not only for conceptual reflections, but that could be useful for real implementation in administrative and political actions.
Thanks to mathematical simulation models, the research compares spread infrastructure networks (with dispersed origins and destinations and a non-hierarchical structure) with highly hierarchical networks. The programme is subdivided in various phases.
