Background & policy context:
Based on a detailed analysis of the European market, including analysis of available solutions and analysis of the causes and consequences of road accidents, it was recognized the need of an intensive research on a new generation of pivot covering energy absorption, which use complex, energy-intensive elements of the composite, as one of the most active traffic safety equipment.
Objectives:
The aim of the project is to develop innovative pivot covering energy-intensive progressive energy absorption leading to improving the safety of road users and road workers. Through a multi-stage and universal nature of the cover, it will be possible to protect all road users (motorcyclists, passenger cars and trucks).
