ICIIT-TMF is the follow-up of the ICIIT project in which an innovative ACO algorithm has been developed that is capable of solving complex problems regarding the automated formation and optimisation of intermodal transport chains. Building on that, ICIIT-TMF aims at studying possible practical applications in the working environment of logistics companies.

We focus on the analysis of workflows and business processes as well as on the question how and under which circumstances an integration of the ICIIT algorithm can be possible. The goal is to define the requirements and develop a solid knowledge base for the future design of a software solution that is suitable for an integration into existing logistics systems.
