The purpose of the project is to identify and predict the consequences of reforms that partly replace the registration tax by road user charges (RUC).

This information can be used to draw implications for optimal reform design under various constraints.

The project will thus contribute to society by indicating ways in which the welfare benefits of a RUC reform can be maximised and by improving the quality of our predictions concerning the consequences of RUC.
