Objectives
The project addresses the manufacturing of a keel beam using thermoplastic resin reinforced with carbon fibre. The use of manufacturing technologies with a lot of potential for automation is also explored.
The main target of reducing assembly cost is addressed with minimizing the use of fasteners and use of very innovative welding technology
