Background & policy context:
This is the third project in the H139 series on land use/transport modelling. It will consider business location, how this changes over time and the role of transport in influencing this.
Objectives:
This project aims to deliver:
- A database of business locations in two separate years, suitably segmented;;
- A model, which explains the changes in business location as a function of the transport system and economic change;
- A system for forecasting employment at disaggregate level as a function of transport accessibility and planning policy.
