The objective of the new Danish national transport model is to establish a unified reference model, which will form a new basis for transport policy analysis in Denmark.

The scope of the model includes:

• Complete multimodal modelling of passenger and freight demand
• Advanced Network model to describe capacity dependence in the choice of route
• Matrix pivoting to ensure baseline calibration
• Development of scenarios
• Impact assessment, CBA module
• User interface for editing, scenario management, model execution, result presentation
• Generation of downloadable aggregated results (Excel-files), detailed results and maps (pdf-files etc.)
• Advanced population synthesis 
• A hosted solution where public authorities and other user can apply the model through remote access
