Overview

Objectives:

The Action aims to support the transition from fossil fuels to the use of the renewable fuel Liquefied Biogas (LBG) for road transport. It is part of a Global Project focusing on the realisation of 4 small plants for the production of LBG and Liquefied Natural gas (LNG), a network of 20 fuelling stations to sell the produced LBG and the LNG in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, and an initial fleet of 225 trucks.

The Action specifically aims to test the feasibility of the Global Project, to lower unit-costs and to improve the business-client relationship, by deploying a real-life trial in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The study consists in the deployment of 5 LNG fuelling stations and one mobile LNG fuelling station which will serve 75 LNG trucks and 20 LNG buses. Based on the results, a decision will be taken for the scale-up, and further spreading of the infrastructure to Poland and Hungary.
