Overview

Background & Policy context

Based on the results of projects previously co-funded by the CEF & TEN-T programmes (2014-EU-TM-0640-M, 2016-EU-TM-0290-M and 2013-EU-21004-P), this Action is the largest development phase of the Global Project.

Objectives

This Action is part of a €52 million Global Project that aims to create  a larger, modern and suitable infrastructure network in the Trelleborg port by 2023, and increase the port's capacity.

Its completion will improve the sea and land access to the port, as well as have positive impact on the development of North-South trade and transport flows on the Core Network corridors.

Methodology

The Action covers:

  • Construction of a new berth 13 and quay 14
  • Land filling works
  • Removal of a current port bottleneck with a road crossing solution
