Overview

Objectives:

The current project proposes a concept for an integrated test environment in Salzburg for conducting innovation and testing projects in the field of automated local transport systems. Building on existing local initiatives and test tracks (FUMObil, Floating Car Data Testbed Salzburg, Salzburg Mobility Plan, Salzburgring, Lungauring) as well as international activities (Sion, Berlin, Karlsruhe), Salzburg Research together with relevant stakeholders (vehicles manufacturers, public transport operator, public transport association, operators of test tracks, technology providers, public authorities, research institutes, innovative regions and users) works out innovation areas, test scenarios as well as requirements for test tracks and proposes a concept for operation of the test environment. Results of the project subsume a comprehensive concept for setup and operation of an innovation lab that should be submitted to the 2017 call for Autonomous Driving Test Environments.
