Objectives

According to the World Health Organization, over 285 million people are visually impaired globally, and 28 million in Europe. That’s almost 4% of the population! Any of us could be blind someday... With problems like fear to unknown places, dependence, disorientation. We, Neosentec, represent the technological development in its favour.

The current GPS solutions are based on taking a person from point A to point B, leaving an empty space in between that prevents discovering new places. With Lazzus we fill that gap, since we are able to notify on their way if there is a bakery, a zebra crossing, stairs, street changes, etc, a person with visual impairment can now experience an unimaginable feeling of discovering new places through a smartphone as it was a flashlight and breaking all fear barriers.

Lazzus allows them to live unthinkable experiences, reducing their dependence and increasing their autonomy not only in their own city but elsewhere. Lazzus is now available in 29 countries (North, Centre and South America and Europe), proving its scalability. Also, we have been validated by users and ONCE (National Organisation of Spanish Blind people) and we have received several awards from important institutions such as Google, Vodafone, the European Investment Bank, Grupo 5 and the Internet Users Association, proving its potential in the market.

Our social impact will change the way thousands of people see the world, allowing new experiences to interact with their environment. This will increase their autonomy, their power to break down barriers and reduce the fear of the unknown. Lazzus, in short, aims to be the assistant for the mobility of the blind and visually impaired.
