Overview
Industrial areas are often difficult to reach. They are frequently located on vacant land on the periphery of medium-sized cities and so the car becomes the means by which workers can reach them. The Mobility Management for Business and Industrial Zones (MoMa.BIZ) Project aims to remedy this problem and substantially reduce car use through the implementation and promotion of sustainable mobility.
The main objective of the MOMABIZ Project is to contribute towards the promotion and dissemination of sustainable mobiility in industrial zones and business areas through the creation of mobility plans, boxed solutions, guidelines and labelling.
The MOMABIZ Project uses a participatory approach which aims at involving local stakeholders in the entire planning process of making the mobility plans.
Results
The project yielded the following results:
- A mobility labelling system for Business and Industrial Zones was developed.
- A "boxed solutions" guide for sustainable mobility in Business and Industrial Zones was developed.
