Overview

Objectives

The project will create a Monitoring Center for Pollution from combustion processes in the squad, which includes Laboratory Automotive ecology of the Laboratory of the exhaust emission tests in a climate chamber.

Results

There is a pollution monitoring station within this project that provides the possibility of carrying out exhaust emission measurements for M1 vehicles (passenger cars) and N1 (heavy duty vehicles up to 3500 kg) with front or rear engines equipped with positive-ignition engines. Required by the legislative regulations in force in Europe. The position includes:

  • Chassis dynamometer designed for vehicle emission testing.
  • Exhaust gas analyzer kit.
  • Exhaust collection and preparation system.
  • Control automation system.
  • Air conditioning system.

The stand enables measurement of emissions in motor vehicles:

  • Hydrocarbons (THC, CH4),
  • Nitrogen oxides NO / NOx,
  • Carbon dioxide CO2,
  • Carbon monoxide CO,

The air conditioning system allows these tests to be carried out in the temperature range of: - 20 ° C to + 30 ° C.
