Overview

Background & Policy context

Today's European findings on noise of EU urban coverings are gathered through literature studies, measurement evaluations and surveys of builders and paving enterprises. Based on appropriate pavement are set and installed suitable test tracks. Track coverings are studied by technical and acoustic measurements for several years.

Objectives

The aim of the project is to investigate new influencing factors to the pavement on pilot routes reconstructed in recent years.

The aim is to create program for measuring the perennial acquisition of acoustic and technological characteristics of road covering.

New conclusions for permanent EU urban coverings shall be achieved.

Methodology

Analyse and evaluate previous measurements and realised results.

Derive surface types for testing.

Define requirements for implementation of the proposed pilot routes and potential locations for a survey.
