Overview
Background & policy context:
In the framework of the C-Roads Platform, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden have decided to further develop their C-ITS cooperation, which started with the NordicWay and the NordicWay 2 Actions, by extending joint pilot activities, including also urban areas.
Objectives:
The Action will deploy Day 1 and Day 1.5 C-ITS services as defined by the European Commission's “C-ITS Platform".
The pilots will improve safety and efficiency of the TEN-T Scandinavian-Mediterranean Core Network Corridor. The Action will support the long-term development of a safe, secure and efficient road transport system allowing for management of cross border traffic, ensuring that implemented C- ITS services are interoperable and continuous across borders.
