With the previously agreed transport policy a sustainable development is achieved. The growing mobility caused increasing congestions and environmental pollution. There is a need of firmer measures especially in the aviation sector, in leisure traffic, the introduction of efficient technologies and in the co-operation with Europe.

The conclusions of the National Research Programme "Transport and Environment" (NRP 41) will be after four years of research presented as a part of a final conference.
