The Action is implementing a zero-emission service network for public transport in the Urban Node of Rotterdam by deploying a full battery electric bus (ZEB) fleet and the charging infrastructure in the city.

The deployment of 24 opportunity and 50 overnight charging stations, as well as the introduction of 105 ZEBs will occur in two steps.

The Action covers about 40% of the Global Project, which aims to equip the urban region of Randstad with full zero emission public bus transport service as of 2025.

It will implement the first step towards a large-scale day-to-day emission free public passenger bus transport service. Results of this Action will significantly contribute to increasing multi-modality and shifting from fossil to alternative fuels in an urban node of the TEN-T network.
