Overview

Objectives

The project was targeted to develop the concept followed by a prototype of radar system based on multi-static principles. Such a system has ambitions to substitute middle and short distance primary radars. A better performance, mainly higher accuracy in 3D position, and ability to detect non-cooperative targets which will increase level of air traffic reliability are expected. The proposed system is also energetically more efficient.

Results

  • - MSPSR modular system prototype - the MSPSR system consists of several Tx and Rx stations complemented by a central processing station (CPS). The transmitter generates a radar signal according to specific broadcasting schedule in order to enable constructive cooperation of multiple transmitters in an area of interest. The transmitted signal and signal reflected from targets is then processed by receiver stations. The receivers perform detection of targets in bistatic range and bistatic Doppler. This information is forwarded to a Central Processing Station (CPS).
