Overview
The aim of the project is to develop methodological and software tools that use the safety indicators for safety management and safety performance management of aviation organisations. Safety indicators will be used for assessment and safety management of processes within the internal needs of aviation organisations and provision of sufficient oversight the industry regulator (the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic - CAA) with regard to the sensitivity of the information and data provided by aviation organisations. A complex structure of indicators including reactive, proactive and strategic will be developed to measure the operational safety of aviation organisations. Different types of indicators together with their mutual interactions will provide a comprehensive model of safety risks for the organisations. It will be possible to obtain more precise safety recommendations than when considering each indicator separately. Indicators will be defined in a way to be able to monitor the causes of accidents and incidents, but also the degree of changes in the safety management and safety culture of organisations concerned.
