Overview

Objectives

The two authorities involved in the project propose the construction/rehabilitation of 8 streets that give access to the main cross border way E60. The activities of the project consist of a preparation activity, management activity, visibility activity that implies an opening event in Osorhei and a closing event in Berettyoujfalu. Another activity comprises of the preparation and producing of all the technical design and mandatory permits. The core activities (investments) comprises also all the procedures provided by national law, for acquiring the constructor and other supporting services.

The general objective of the project is to improve the secondary road infrastructure with direct links to cross border access roads. The specific objectives are linked to the preparation of the investment and to the implementation of the activities and investment in the road infrastructure, at the level of the two local authorities, Osorhei and Berettyóújfalu.

The direct beneficiaries of the project are the inhabitants of the two villages where the investment occurs (7000 persons), the personal employed, part of the project implementation team and the small economic agents living in the impacted area.

The indirect beneficiaries are the following:

  • Disadvantaged category of persons (jobless workers, Roma minority) that will have better access to the regional market economy and therefore, who will improve their life conditions.
  • SME's from the neighboring area, schools and associations, tourists, persons that will transit the area impacted, the neighbouring communes, Bihor and Hajdú-Bihar Counties' Councils, Rural Development Offices from Bihor and Hajdú-Bihar, Regional and Rural Development Agencies, Ministries of Agriculture and Rural Development.
  • National Roads Companies.
  • Ministries of Transports.
