Background & policy context:
The project focuses on the better use of information technology for the assessment of roads and uses real-time data to assess the condition and winter maintenance action.

Objectives:
The goal of the project is to develop information to assist decision making in winter maintenance. The system takes into account the different types of data from different sources; e.g. measuring equipment, weather forecast, monitoring of maintenance fleet etc.
