The aim of the work is to develop the Estonian road weather forecasting model. The basis is the Finnish road model, which is implemented in Estonian conditions and according to Estonian needs. Important components of the work are testing the model to be created, creating a database of forecasts using past calculations, and statistical analysis of forecast results.

The model will receive input from KAUR weather forecasts and must be able to predict operationally and adequately without Estonian roads, forming an important link in the Road Traffic Prevention System.
