Background & policy context:
The Panel of Signalling Experts promotes the strategic orientation of the UIC (International Union of Railways) towards federation of domain knowledge on a global vision.
Panel of Signalling Experts support convergence of the core domain’s requirements and identify the optimum application of winning technology. In particular the Panel of Signalling Experts aims to maintain and update the knowledge on rail signalling domain and to find appropriate responses to the technological evolutions which affect the domain.
Objectives:
Prepare and maintain an open platform for sharing knowledge, discussing new problems and finding common solutions and opportunities among members in the (global) signalling domain.
Panel of Signalling Experts should be a permanent activity.
