Overview

Objectives

The objective of the Action is to accelerate large-scale roll-out of biogas and electric buses, along the Core Network and urban nodes in central Sweden to decarbonise public transport.

The Action aims to deploy 256 efficient and clean bio-CNG buses, 60 electric buses and roll-out the associated infrastructure in the Örebro and Västmanland Counties.

The new fossil fuel free bus fleets will service both counties and include a 200-km section of the TEN-T Core Network E20-E18 highway from Eskilstuna to Karlstad. Those buses will use 100% of renewable bio-CNG and 100% certified renewable electricity.
