The project is a part of the solution of safe contactless transmission system of safety relevant information from railway infrastructure to the rolling-stock. Eurobalise is an important part of ETCS system at all its application levels (L0, L1, L2, L3, LSTM). The subject of the program project is a research in the field of antenna system for transition of safety relevant information from balise to the rolling stock, using low power approach in design with programmable field array CPLD for control logic of the balise. Further research in the field of plastic materials and compound suitable for protection of electronics in railway yard against mechanical and environmental effects is also part of the project. Another subject is experimental development of a balise prototype and fulfilment validation of all requirements of interoperability and safety and other requirements for operation in railway environment.
