Overview

Objectives

This project dealt with methodology and implementation of comprehensive testing devices for tram undercarriages in relation to AC and DC traction motors to ensure optimum assembly axles, gearboxes and coupling of motors. The main objective was suppressing of the undesirable operating conditions: electromechanical vibrations and slipping between the axles which improves the handling and increase the traffic safety of trams and tandems and increase their life and energy saving.
