Overview

Objectives:

The individual sub-goals and their activities as defined within the tender documentation were implemented in the manner that ensures the fulfillment of the global goals, which are:

- development of bicycle transport in the Czech Republic and meeting the goals and measures of the new Czech National Cycling Development Strategy 2013-2020

- contributing to improve the safety of road users, especially the safety of cyclists and pedestrians

- systematic development of public telematics and information services to improve planning, effectiveness of state and local governments investments into the transport infrastructure, with particular emphasis on the development of non-motorised modes of transport

- increase the share of walking and cycling modes in modal split in the Czech Republic

Making required recommendations, results reflected in the non-legislative documents and certified Recommendations, non-legislative results and certified methodology, based on the analytical part of the project, as well as the pilot implementation and evaluation of test operation, reflecting the mentioned recommendations into practice and clearly demonstrating their impact in terms of established goals. The pilot implementation simultaneously represented inputs, but also feedback verifying the recommendations and conclusions of the project.
