Overview

Background & policy context:

Systematic solutions of transportation problems should be based on the fact that  transportation is a subsystem of the social-economic system in society. Economic and financial tools have to respect this systemic approach and optimising transportation system should be based on:

  1. interactive relations of transportation with other technical, economic and social subsystems,
  2. relations among individual transportation subsystems in ITS,
  3. optimising the share of individual types of transportation in the overall transportation system output.

Objectives:

The objectives of the project are as follows:

  • optimisation of the service transportation networks (internal and external transportation system)
  • optimisation of system structure among the existing transport modes; logistics, and multimodality
