The main goal of the project is to research into usage of cooperative systems for influencing the traffic flow to reduce stop-and-go waves. The project team wants to research the influence of data exchange among vehicles in the traffic flow to the smoothness of motion of traffic flow. The aim of the project is the first to simulate the described behaviour in the appropriate microsimulation tools and thus verify the obtained simulation results in a pilot test.
