Welcome to the April issue of the Transport Research and Innovation Monitoring and Information System (TRIMIS) Newsletter. TRIMIS is an online platform for researchers to share and discuss innovation in mobility in Europe.

The TRIMIS team will be attending the International Transport Forum Summit 2019 in Leipzig in May. If you are attending the event, please come and find us, we look forward to meeting with you.

Newsletter highlights this month include:

• a report produced by the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission that provides an overview of the main challenges transport is facing at the EU-level and in Member States. It sets out the key trends and issues for the single European transport area;
• an interview with Dr Susanna Wrighton, Project Manager of the City Changer Cargo Bike project;
• a reminder of an initiative that was launched in February to increase the number of Member States projects and programmes on the TRIMIS website.
