Welcome to the June edition of Transport Research and Innovation Monitoring and Information System (TRIMIS) Newsletter. TRIMIS is an online platform for policy makers and researchers to share and discuss innovation in transport and mobility in Europe.
As many of us are now adjusting to a ‘new normal’ with coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions being eased, we are pleased to highlight two new TRIMIS publications. The JRC Science for Policy Report ‘Research and innovation in smart mobility and services in Europe’ provides a comprehensive analysis of research and innovation in smart mobility and services in Europe, while the Science for Policy Report on 'Research and innovation in network and traffic management systems in Europe' analyses initiatives on seamless testing, adoption and integration of network and traffic management systems. Both reports critically assess research by thematic area and technologies, and highlight recent developments and future needs.
We also include details of the IMPROVER project, which aims to improve the resilience of European critical infrastructure to crises and disasters. Alongside this, we feature the PAsCAL project, which proposes an awareness-driven and large-scale approach to address issues raised by the general public on connected and autonomous vehicles (CAV).
