Welcome to the November edition of the Transport Research and Innovation Monitoring and Information System (TRIMIS) Newsletter. TRIMIS is an online platform for policy makers and researchers to share and discuss innovation in transport and mobility in Europe.
This month, we highlight the latest JRC Science for Policy Report on 'Research and innovation in transport electrification in Europe'. The report provides a comprehensive analysis of research and innovation in transport electrification and how this will help decarbonisation and reduce fossil fuel dependency of transport.
In addition, we feature a selection of projects including:
- HAWL, a new generation of fuel-cell-powered forklift trucks used in logistic warehouse environments;
- SMARTYARDS, aimed at improving the productivity of European small and medium sized shipyards through enhanced knowledge and technology skills.
This issue also presents a selection of forthcoming events from the TRIMIS database. Some events will be delivered in an online format due to the ongoing travel restrictions.
