World economy is changing rapidly. On the one hand, issues like health and safety, quality, resilience, sustainability, social justice and environment are increasing their weight for decision makers compared with traditional pecuniary considerations. On the other hand, the advent of cheap powerful computers, smart phones and robots is changing society drastically and also the economic interactions. And on top of that, COVID came.
Join the second edition of the SUM Bilbao and the Declaration of Bilbao, bringing together experts and public authorities, who will highlight new technologies and digitalisation of services in order to respond to global challenges. All of this will take place in an ideal setting in which many opportunities will arise to connect with potential partners online and in-person.
There will be round tables, interviews and conferences with more than 60 speakers from different fields to debate challenges, opportunities and strategies on the following three topics:
This three day event looks at the current transport situation with increasing costs and externalaties, such as congestion, gas emissions, fuel consumptions and more. In order to return to a more sustainable path, the event will cover if we need to evolve traditional modes of transport and what is needed to change the current trend.
You can expect discussions in these areas:
The overarching theme for this year's Conference on Transport Engineering is R-Evolution of Transport. This theme arises that the current situation of transport, with costs and externalities (congestion, emissions, fuel consumption, road accidents, etc.) increasingly higher, needs a change to return to the sustainable path. Therefore, we can ask ourselves if we need to evolve the traditional modes of transport or, on the contrary, what is needed is a revolution, involving a significant change in the current trend.
The Smart Mobility Congress will take place in Barcelona between 17 and 19 November 2020. It is a global event that acts as a platform to help accelerate the development and uptake of mobility products, services and projects and to shorten the time that it takes for these to reach the market. The products, services and products presented at the Congress aim to tackle the urban mobility challenges faced by modern cities and economies. The event will bring together experts and practitioners to discuss case studies and to network.
The majority of people live in cities and urbanisation is continuing worldwide. Cities have long been known to be society’s predominant engine of innovation and wealth creation, yet they are also the main source of pollution and disease.
Emerging evidence suggests that (poor) urban and transport planning may be to a large extent responsible for this and may have a large impact on mortality and morbidity in cities.
ICoTSC 2020 is an open forum where advances in the field of transport and smart Cities can be shared and examined. Researchers, engineers, scientists and industry professionals are welcomed to join this conference. which acts as a platform for keeping up with advances in this ever-changing field.
Over this three day event, a wide range of research topics will be discussed including both theoretical and systems research. Topics include, and more:
Go Mobility is the new mobility exhibition of southern Europe, fostered by the Regional Council of Gipuzkoa and the Basque Government.
The event is integrated with the strategy for the development of electromobility that the institutions are fostering, spearheaded by MUBIL – Gipuzkoa Electromobility Center.
Who are the exhibitors?
The continuing requirement for better urban transport systems and the need for a healthier environment has added to the increasing success of this annual meeting which attracts international delegates from many different countries. Innovative systems, new approaches and original ideas need to be thoroughly tested and critically evaluated before they can be implemented in practice, which highlights the importance of the meeting. Moreover, there is a growing need for integration with telecommunications systems and IT applications in order to improve safety, security and efficiency.
