Mobility in the enlarged European Union: The road sector's challenges and responsibilities
The European Road Congress comes at a decisive moment in Europe's agenda as the completion of the enlargement process, enhanced trading and mobility aspirations all contribute to stimulate demand for new and better road transport services. Its ambition is to provide a better understanding of the challenges facing the European road sector in the 21st century through interactive sessions with high-level specialists. In addition, the Congress will offer a state-of-the-art overview of European road technology through a technical exhibition and on-site visits. Over 1,000 transport professionals from all across Europe can be expected to attend the first edition of the European Road Congress making it one of the most significant international transport events in 2004.
