1st International Congress on Mobility Management - Citizens and Mobility Management

Sustainable mobility is defined as the ability to meet the public's needs to move about freely, gain access, communicate, trade and establish relationships without foregoing other essential values for human development and environmental quality in the present and in the future (World Business Council for Sustainable Development, Mobility 2001). As a result and in order to raise citizen awareness of the effects triggered by the rise in unsustainable urban mobility and to support the initiatives carried out in several cities to solve the problems mentioned, the Madrid City Council, together with the Mobility Foundation, decided to organise the Ist International Conference on Citizens and Mobility Management.
