Overview
The International Steering Committee for Travel Survey Conferences (ISCTSC) was formed in 1998 to facilitate the organisation of international conferences dealing with research topics relevant to the conduct of transport surveys that support planning, policy, modelling, monitoring and related issues for urban, regional, intercity and international person, vehicle and commodity movements.
The 2008 conference provides a venue for transport professionals to present their work, exchange information, network, promote international collaboration and served as a forum for the presentation of workshops, papers and posters. The 2008 conference has the overall theme of "harmonisation", with a focus on inter- and intra- country data comparability. The Conference programme is organised around 16 topical workshops.
