Overview
Following the signing of the £1.3bn City Deal for the Swansea Bay City Region, this seminar will focus on the steps required for effective implementation and will assess how best to realise the prospective benefits for the region.
It comes as stakeholders start to put the deal into practice and begin to develop more detailed plans for financing and delivering the Deal’s proposals on developing skills and infrastructure to support the growth of cutting-edge industries - focused on the health, energy and digital sectors.
Delegates will discuss these proposals as well as the wider regeneration of Swansea city centre and the surrounding region, the potential for maximising the wider economic benefits of the Tidal Lagoon project, and the potential electrification of rail links to London.
