Overview
Synergies for an EU Seaport Policy: the 2005 conference will provide an update on where the development of a European seaport policy is standing, including a comparison with European airport policy, an update on the new port services' Directive and an introduction to the EU survey on port financing and charging systems.
The first day will include 3 parallel sessions focusing on some of the principal challenges facing European port managers today and the 2nd day will highlight the role of ports in the wider context of environmental protection, maritime safety and security.
The conference is addressed to Presidents, CEOs and senior management executives of all European port administrations, port authorities and port associations as well as government representatives and the academic world.
